Hello! I’m Avery Schmitt and I’m absolutely thrilled to share an incredible journey that God has set before me! In September, I’ll be embarking on a life-changing adventure in Peru. For the next year, I’ll be living alongside Pastor Jorge Montero and his family, along with all of the Missions in the Amazon staff and volunteers. I’m so excited to be diving headfirst into the special calling God has placed on my heart—to become a missionary. I’m so blessed to be able to learn from an organization that has been doing ministry in one of the most remote places in the world for the past 25 years. This opportunity is not just about fulfilling a personal dream, but about answering a divine calling to spread God’s love and message to those in need. I’m eager to learn, grow, and serve in ways I never imagined possible.
To make this journey a reality, I would love to bring you along for the ride and would greatly appreciate your financial and prayer support. Here’s what I’m trying to raise for:
- Three plane trips back and forth to the States: ~ $3,000
- Three stints in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle: September 15 – December 14th / February 1 – April 30 / June 15 – August 14: $750/month = $6,750. This will cover all of my food, travel, and ministry supplies while on the ground in Peru.
